Your race engineer.
In your ear.

VR Race Engineer reads your car's live telemetry from Gran Turismo 7 and calls fuel, stops and strategy while you drive. Race heads-up in VR and win on strategy, not just pace.

What it calls

A real race engineer that talks only when it matters. Everything below ships in version 1.0. All of it is free during launch; Pro pricing comes later and the Pro tags show where the line will be.

Free

Voice fuel engineer

Laps of fuel in hand, low-fuel warnings, the pit window and the exact fill in litres to match GT7's slider, all computed from your real burn and spoken live.

Pro

Strategy engineer

Give it the race length or let it detect it. It plans the stint pattern, tracks it lap by lap, calls the box lap with a fill target, guides the fill while you are stationary, and gives one clean position call on pit exit.

Pro

It learns your car

Every stint you bank teaches it how this car burns fuel and loses lap time on this track with these lobby settings. Tyre and fuel multipliers are stored with the data, so a 5x race never corrupts your 1x model.

Pro

Practice tools

  • Fuel Trainer: baseline, save target, a verdict every lap
  • Timed Stint: by minutes or laps, with pace drift
  • Test Session: guided per-compound capture in one run
Pro

Shift points

Capture full-throttle pulls, get a per-gear optimum, and arm a shift beep that fires once per pull. Eco mode short-shifts automatically while you are saving fuel.

Free

Built for VR

Every call is spoken. The engineer keeps talking with the phone locked or in a pocket. Any iOS voice, including Apple's free enhanced voices. Safety calls always speak; everything else is a toggle.

Honest about limits. GT7 telemetry is your car only. There is no rival gap data, no tyre wear percentage and no wetness channel, and this app will never pretend otherwise. Tyre life is inferred from your lap-time falloff; grip from wheel slip. What it tells you is measured, not made up.

How it works

No wires, no overlays in your eyeline. It runs alongside GT7 on your home network and talks to you.

Connect

Open the app with GT7 running. It finds the console on your Wi-Fi by itself. Nothing plugged in, nothing on screen.

Practice

Bank a few stints or run one guided Test Session per car and track. Saved once, used for every race there.

Race

Phone in your pocket, headset on. Hands-free calls in your ear all race long, with the fill target and box lap exactly when you need them.

Recommended setup

The one thing to solve is hearing the engineer and the game at the same time. PS5 does not talk to Bluetooth headphones, and PS VR2 sends game audio out of its own 3.5 mm jack, so the phone needs its own path to your ear.

BEST

Sony PULSE Elite or PULSE Explore

Sony's PULSE headset and earbuds take PlayStation Link from the PS5 and Bluetooth from your phone at the same time, and mix both. Plug the PS Link USB adapter into the PS5, set the PS5 output device to it, pair the phone over Bluetooth, and you hear the game and the engineer together with no latency penalty on the game side.

GOOD

One ear each

Wear one of the PS VR2 earbuds for game audio and one earbud from your phone in the other ear for the engineer. Costs nothing, works tonight. Any wired or Bluetooth earbud on the phone side is fine.

FALLBACK

Phone speaker

Phone on the rig, volume up, PS VR2 earbuds in. You will hear the calls but they compete with the game audio. Good enough for a first test, not for a championship round.

Before your first race: phone and PS5 on the same Wi-Fi (not a guest network); iPhone Settings, VR Race Engineer, Local Network on; Low Power Mode off, since it can pause background audio; ringer volume up; and lock the phone once the engineer says it is online. It keeps talking with the screen off.
